Simon Didn’t Give Adam Lambert A Standing Ovation Because His Performance Was Good

Attention internet, idiotic bloggers, and moronic magazine editors:
Stop acting like Simon Cowell gave Adam Lambert a standing ovation last night because his performance was good. IT’S NOT LIKE THAT, AND THAT’S NOT WHY IT HAPPENED.
The show ran 10 minutes long, and many people had DVR’s that cut off Adam Lambert’s performance. Many others flipped the channel to another show. And as much as I hate Lambert, I have to say this was a huge error on the producer’s part and it could be construed as being unfair to Lambert.
Bottom line: Simon gave Adam a standing ovation because he HAD TO. He had to do something to counteract the fact that so many people could have potentially missed Adam’s performance, and to shut up the people who would be screaming that Adam “lost votes” because of the mishap.
As always, Adam Lambert Sucks. With or without a faux-genuine standing ovation.

Lambert took his arrangement from Donnie Darko’s closing credits version of this song- which was sung by Gary Jules.

Gary Jules, 40, thinks Lambert put a signature spin on his cover-of-a-cover.
“It was fantastic,” he says. “He has a beautiful voice. … I heard his Michael Jackson cover and I heard some of his other stuff, and I think that he’s probably one of the most — if not the most — interesting performer I’ve ever seen on `American Idol.’”

When i don’t like something my employees are doing, I always say “INTERESTING”, don’t want to hurt their feelings. Plus, cock knocker was singing HIS song, so he didn’t want to put his song down.
I am so glad to find I am not the only sane person in this country. I cannot stand Adam Lambert. He has that one note that he screams, uses it every time he sings, and the crowd goes insane. Why must you spend your time critisizing a BRILLIANT performer? Adam is an inspiring person. Not only can he sing amazingly, he is also happy with who he is. That is so special..Something a lot of people never achieve in their lifetime. And he is so respectful to others around him! Do you ever see the other contestants genuinely thanking each judge so gratefully?
He pours his heart out into his performances, which is something that the rest of the music business seems to lack. He is in a completely different arena than the other Idol performers.
And for those of you who thinks he screams..It isn’t screaming when a guy is able to hit an incredibly high note with precision and perfect pitch! What is wrong with your ears people? Are you blind to beauty and talent?
I have personally met Adam when he performed at Universal Studios with the cast of Wicked. We didn’t talk long, but what conversation was exchanged was enjoyable and kind. He is clearly a wonderful and caring person.
If you are going to bash on a person like HIM..Shame on you all. Complete shame and disappointment. Go get yourself a reality check and some manners. Reexamine your lives and ask yourselves why you must be so pathetic to pick on someone who is clearly more talented, amazing, and MATURE than you.

I don’t even criticize him as much as I do Paula and everybody who fawns all over him. The guy has some singing ability, I’ll give him that, I just can’t stand listening to his falsetto voice. I find it annoying as hell and although I guess there’s no accounting for taste I can’t for the life of me figure out why people think he is such a great singer. He’s all show and no substance.

Adam BLOWS! You know why? Ability does not equal talent. Ability does not make you interesting. Yes, he can really hit those high notes. And yes, when he touches himself during every song he ever sings, all the menopausal women get all hot-and-bothered. But, does that make him worth listening to? NO! He is a self-indulgent, gimmicky prick.
I don’t mind that Adam is openly gay or even that he’s a drag queen (according to many photos on the web) but I object to the way the judges fawn over him and promote him as if he were a really “brilliant” and great singer, when he is really more of a performer or actor, who can sing “OK.” His performances lose a lot if you close your eyes and just listen….often off key and screachy, but he gets away with it because of his stage craft and theatricality…I can’t picture what kind of record deal he’d ever have, but could see him on Broadway.
The issue here doesn’t have anything to do with Adam’s sexuality…it’s a simple matter of ability. The bottom line is that Adam just isn’t all that talented. He’s not a good singer, he’s not remotely interesting, he’s not captivating or skilled. All he is…is different. And that’s why so many people respond to him. The problem is, the people that do like him, by and large, aren’t intelligent enough to see through his screeching, his gyrations, and his nonsense and realize that the guy just isn’t a star. His voice really isn’t good at all, he sings the same note every time, he’s definitely not appealing to most people…even if he wins, he won’t go anywhere. At least not on the charts. Maybe he’ll end up successful in musical theatre. But the bottom line is, he shouldn’t even have made it this far, and he needs to go.

Jamie: “What kind of record deal would he have?” How can you ask this? Pop music is SO much about theatricality. Look at Prince, Lady GaGa, Madonna, or even Freddy Mercury himself- they all have enormous stage presence and they are all gifted performers. That is what pop stardom requires.
I doubt any of you know shit about music. As a classically trained pianist and vocalist, I can honestly say that Adam is NEVER off key. That is what astounds me. He has incredible pitch. And what is this “screechy” nonsense? Have you ever heard a man hit high notes like that? I can tell you one thing, Adam is not screechy, he has masterful tone and skill.
Adam is an exciting singer who is original and fearless in his presence. He will certainly make an impact on pop music.
And to all of you who are insulting him for being gay: if you haven’t noticed, we have a black president. It is time to embrace differences. They are what unites us in the end. Adam cannot sing, period, when he sang that Rolling Stones song it was like boy george singing Led Zeppelin, is just does not work. He is so use to Theater preforming, that instead of steadying his vocals, he just shouts every song or goes over the top with them. The guy can sing, but that doesn’t mean he sounds good doing it. Especially when it comes to covering songs.

i think adam lambert is horrible…everytime he performs it’s like he is in a musical…way too theatrical!!..he is almost constantly singing in a falsetto which while i understand it takes talent to do..i prefer my men to sound like men..he really does look like someone set his face on fire…(lol 1st comment) and that horrible emo haircut… and no matter how bad he sounds they say he’s awesome…i think adam’s hooking simon up with some favors under that judging table…
