Let me spell it out for you: Adam Lambert is a douche, regardless of his sexual orientation. And furthermore, DISLIKING ADAM LAMBERT DOES NOT MAKE YOU HOMOPHOBIC. It only means you HAVE WORKING EARS.
A few more points to drive it home: Adam Lambert? SUCKS! Elton John? DOESN’T SUCK. Adam Lambert? SUCKS! Melissa Etheridge? DOESN’T SUCK. Are we clear?

I stopped watching this show a couple of weeks ago. It’s sooooo incredibly boring. I don’t like any of the contestants either. I still visit this site to read your comments because I find them more entertaining than the show itself. I guess some people don’t get it.

The fact that Adam Lambert is still on the show goes to prove that Idol is fixed. America hates him, he’s not a good singer, he butchered a classic J. Cash song, but the judges/producers love him cause he creates controversy. It’s like a second coming of Sanjia…

I so agree, Lambert sucks. I would definatly say he is gay, the sensual leg rub durring The horribly sung “Ring of fire” was the dead give away. To be honest the guy has pipes(definatly more then the average or even best karaoke singer)..so props where props are due. However, his voice sounds awful….reminiscent to me of thr lead vocalist of the band RUSH(whom I dreaded my mother playing as a child. His voice is screeching, and annoying. I love Daughtry, and his voice is strong and yet serinating…he brought a true edgy,new talent to Idol, so Lambert can’t hold a candle to him,. What’s funny is that my husband likes Lamberts voice, and i’m like…”Are you deaf?” I litteraly get nausious at the sound of his voice, and wathing him makes it worse. I also thing Meagan has got-to-go, yuck. Pretty girl, annoying voice and the bird “caugh!” at the end of last weeks performence just added more awfulness to her non rythemic twisty/shimmy thing she does. I Love Danny,Allison(who does have a muture,unique voice…when she sang Heart I was like, “yeah, she’s a DOG” in Randy terms), and i like the bluesy guy who was compared to J.T, firget his name but he is really good. Overall I am pleased so far with this season, it’s diverse and fresh, i even appreciate Lambert, if he was’nt there…who would I love to hate?? I refuse to jump on his band wagon, as I have seen many blogs about how amazing he is…if he wins, I may retire Idol…(okay I’m lying now)

site. As far as Adam being original (again), he is only original in the sense
that nobody else on American Idol looks or sings like him. This is not in this case
a good thing. Let’s be honest here people; go down to your local mall or shopping
center and spend just 15 minutes looking for fem-males that resemble Adam. I would
bet you would loose count at somewhere around 1,315. Just an estimate though. In addition, Lambert singing ‘Ring of Fire’ was a monumental blasphemous attempt at doing justice to
one of the greatest songs ever written. You hear the judges say that some songs or artists should
just not be touched and Cash is one of them. For this cliche’, gender-unaware hack to even attempt that song (without even mentioning the terrible version) is an outright crime. The above might be true if Adam wasn’t a part of this whole fem-male glam movement which is merely a passing fad. Comparing him to David Bowie and Barbara Streisand is a bit of a stretch at best. They were established in the music business already (even at first) and had a considerable amount of talent compared to Lambert. As far as not being able to take my eyes of him; when he performs I watch for about 30 seconds just to see what new pandora’s box of music butchery is opened that night and then I turn the channel. It’s exactly like seeing a wreck on the side of the road. It’s not good in any way but you look at it for a short while. Except in this case Adam’s voice is the SUV and our ears are the smaller compact car that gets crushed and ruined. The thing I find most interesting is that the majority of the comments are just opinions directed at this Adam thing. The personal shots and poor comebacks are from those who think they have some personal connection with Lame-bert and come running to his rescue. Plenty of things in life get reactions out of people but that does not make them worth while. Adam is like an itchy mosquito bite. It draws your attention for a short time but you soon forget it. Adam is not an honest to God talent. He’s a freak. A by-product of a fad that like all other fads, fades away eventually. Remember Fantasia? Ruben Studdard? Taylor Hicks? Blake Lewis? (don’t even get me started on beat-box-boy) Tons of people said some of the same crap about them. Most of them even won A.I. and are nowhere to be seen. I really fail to see what will make this character last beyond the fad he so desperately clings to.

I really rooted for Adam when he first auditioned. But last week’s performance was really spooky. It gave away what’s supposed to be hidden. I think Adam is getting so impatient to reveal who he is to millions of viewers because his performances are generating a lot of positive reactions regardless of his sexuality. Maybe people are crazy about him now. But what happens next is the question; will people still like him when he begins to strut around onstage like some bona fide drag during the the final show (if he ever gets to the finals)?
Adam Lambert’s fans are getting so downright desperate as they get defensive over him. They use all the dirtiest words possible to make a point. But accept it or not, Lambert is really transforming slowly on TV, and soon enough the caterpillar will be a butterfly. I don’t think I’ve ever heard such an appalling performer get so much acclaim in my life. I’m thinking he will probably go quite a ways in the show this season. He’s already gone much farther than he deserves. This truly is a victory for those who hate life.
Damn he butchered ‘Ring of Fire’. That weeks show hasn’t aired in my country yet, but I saw a little snippet of it on The Soup. It was so terrible, it’s hard to muster the words to describe it. Truly atrocious. After a little browsing it seems there is a lot of people who enjoyed his performance. They most likely believe Miley Cyrus is a good singer, too. I never cared about him much until his Ring of Fire performance. Now he surpasses Megan in my list of who I want eliminated. (I would have preferred it if Tatiana Del Toro had her wild card spot.)

Twilight zone indeed, David. 3 minutes of amateurish falsetto is the best performance of the night? I’m not saying any of the rest of them are ready for primetime, but somebody put the panel on a lie detector test and ask them if they would leave that song on the radio for more than 2 seconds. The problem is I think he could put out a listenable product if the judges would quit selling out to get a change in the lineup of lounge singers and just be honest and tell him to give up trying to live out some rock idol wet dream. Or is he just trying to re-create last year’s Billie jean success. Either way, stop! You can put as much lipstick on that pig as you like; still sucks.
Now I am more confused than ever about this Adam thing. Last night he proved that at least he doesn’t have to scream, strut around and rub himself while doing his best impersonation of a banshie. So why doesn’t he just ditch the whole ‘I’m so different’ thing? At least I wouldn’t throw up as much.
I can not stand watching this “no talent ass clown,” get up there and get praise for being horrible. His appearance is a mess. After seeing his parents and home in a previous video it is apparent that he does not come from a poor upbringing. His look is half Emo (which is annoying by itself) and half pretty boy. Which is pretty much an oxymoron. People like his musical style because he is different. A purple Prius is different. Michael Jackson’s personal life is different. Blue hair is different. Different does not mean that something is appealing or even morally right.
I don’t care about Idol, but what I do know is this sexually androgynous trendy twat murdered a classic country and western song with his whaling and howling.
Top that with his stupid ‘I’m trying to be unique while copying everyone else’ look and the fact he’s on Idol, just makes this guy totally dislikable to people above the intelligence level of Moronic Douchebag.
Oh, and to ‘Jim’ you don’t know people behind these comments, someone of here could be more talented than that twat Lambert, wait what am I talking about, im sure alot of people on here are more talented than him, we just have the senses to stay off shows which the creators intend to, and i quote ‘are cutting the throat of modern music and drinking its still warm blood’ X-Factor, Pop Idol, American Idol, Fame Academy, all of these shows are ruining what could’ve been a great era for music, right now all we have is recycled bullshit and one hit wonders from the fallout of these shows. There’s only one person whose done really well for himself and thats Will Young and good on him cos he does have talent and a good voice, and I don’t even like his music, thats saying something. Whoever wins theses shows will get one or two hits out which will last a while in the charts, then fade out into nothing. It’s what is called Flavour of the Month, the tag line for this decade of music!

There’s obviously no point in arguing personal preferences, and we’re all free to like/dislike each contestant for any reason we damn well want, but if you seriously thought Adam’s performance of Tracks of My Tears was hideous in terms of vocals, then you might be as deaf as Scott is blind. Even Smokey Robinson was moved to his feet by Adam’s performance.
I’ve noticed that most of the people who are the most trained in music are the ones who appreciate what Adam does with his voice. And the fact that he makes clueless people so angry is just another good reason to support him.

i am a huge fan of adams. without him the show is a bore. you must admit that if anything hes entertaining. he has a background in entertainment and he knows how to work a stage. i personally like his vocals. hes handsome. hes definately one to watch. this season sucks compared to last year. ratings went down 15%. adam is getting more viewers than the rest of the contestants, i assure you. hes no david cook, but hes better than danny gokey or kris allen. its just whatever youre into.

I haven’t really watched much of this season, but after seeing Adam’s jet black emo cut hair and guyliner I was immediately put off. I guess he has good stage presence, but I really do not like his voice at all! It reminds me of Justin Hawkins from The Darkness, but a worse version. Laugh–I am overweight, middle-aged & I wiped out a whole bag of Cheetos a few days ago that I was craving & I often wear stretch pants, but I drink Diet Dr. Pepper. I can’t stand Adam and never have. He was okay until he gave those evil eye stares right into the camera thinking he was sexy or Elvis reincarnated. He does the grand fricken grand entrance like he thinks he a star, (that white suit did me in) and then the tongue flailing is inevitable followed by the inevitable & predictable eardrum piercing scream. Every single song had that same pattern. Most of his performances were identical except for his outfits, hair, etc. He’s an actor is all he is.
Is he unique to A.I. Yes, because nobody else has had the NERVE to wear so many outlandish outfits, wear so much makeup & glitter on the eyes or pancake makeup. No body else has insisted on so much fanfare or grand entrances and no guy included caressing his body during a song thinking it looked sexy. He is “retro” and who wants to go back in time. I can’t imagine listening to that on the radio because I’d look for another station.
This season was boring particularly when you saw how everyone was pimping Lambert giving very little camera time or press to anyone else. Now I like Kris mostly because he’s a musician and therefore a true artist. I also liked Allison and don’t think she got enough credit for her vocals at 16 & she also plays a musical instrument. Lambert does not play any musical instuments. Allison won’t get much promo with her album, Kris won’t get much either but Glambert will get it all even though he’s a runner up. Just looking at Kris’ write up on his label versus Lambert will give you a clue. That is a given & then Glambert fans will say “see he’s really the winner.”

Personally,I like Adam’s style of music,the Glam rock,and have nothing against Kris or Allison at all,my daughter has Allison’s album and it’s pretty good.

He was on Idol this week. We don’t normally watch it and he didn’t sing tonight so I can only judge based on what I’ve listened to off his CD & the one episode I’d seen before. Don’t need to see him sing (kinda awkward and does the painful look a bit too much) but like to listen. I think he sounds great on his CD. Saw the “Ring Of Fire” debacle when he was on Idol and thought he was HORRIBLE. However, when he’s doing music he’s well suited to and in the studio it sounds amazing. I think having him “mentor” other musicians that clearly have FAR more talent than he does (they write AND play – not just sing) is a bit comical.

I for one love Adam. When that season was going on, I knew tons of people who loved him. Just about everyone who watched american idol who i know loves him. You may not like his music, and that’s okay, but other people do. You shouldn’t be telling other people that they don’t know anything or that they “don’t have ears”.
