UPDATED: The Danny Gokey Glasses Count: How Many Pairs Does This Tool Own?

Danny Gokey. You probably know him as the “chubby glasses wearin’ dork who made it to the Top 12 on American Idol.” But exactly how many pairs of glasses does one person need? We’ve carefully analyzed the footage, and discovered he’s worn at least SIX different pairs on his short stint on Idol so far. What gives? Is he fucking someone at Lenscrafters?

I think you missed the ones he auditioned in?? They were black w/ black sides. Almost Buddy Holly-ish. You also missed the ones they keep showing in the photo of him and his wife. They are frameless with small metal wire sides.
Oh, and I personally have 3 different pair in my life that I rotate. I thought THAT was a lot. He is rockin’ these accessories!!
i hate the most recent pair. my hubby said they reminded him of jewelers glasses.

Please! There is no reason to poke fun at any of the PEOPLE on American Idol. They are, afterall… human beings like you and me.
The only reason anyone pokes fun is because that someone looks, sounds, behaves, dresses (could go on and on) different or they one poking fun is so insecure as an individual that they feel better about themselves by beating others down.
Suggestion: Try embracing our differences. Try putting yourself in the place of the one being ridiculed. It doesn’t feel good. We are ALL people with feelings and should be treated as such.
As for Danny’s glasses. WOO HOO!!! If he is fortunate enough to accessorize like that more power to him! Other entertainers have had their glasses, hats, gloves, clothing style… Elton John, Michael Jackson, Madonna, etc. Not all of us are so fortunate and it makes him INTERESTING! What will he wear next!?
Keep in mind… we’re not voting for eyeglasses, we’re voting for talent.

I saw Danny wearing some all clear glasses. I guess you can add it to the list. He could sell some glasses to Randy Jackson! I love all of his glasses….very stylish…with sex appeal. They add to his adorable smile!
His glasses make me puke inside my own mouth. Danny’s talent could gag a maggot! Not only do I want him off of American Idol I also want to see him pushing dry goods at Wal-Mart. Hopefully someday everyone will realize his path is the same followed by Satan.

I am really shocked by the disturbing hate that resonates from some of these posts. I know danny and I know his family. I’m appauled that anyone would say such terrible things about such an talented, God- fearing young man. Danny has way more class, talent and love in his heart than those posting such horrible slandor. Danny has experienced a terrible loss in the past year and I am inspired by his courage and spirit to overcome by leaning on God. To hear you all talking about Danny using Sophia’s death as a “publicity stunt” is distgusting– he has hardly mentioned it– if you want to get mad at someone, get mad at the idol producers who are trying to push the story. When all is said and done sophia’s death affects everything in his life, you cannot know Danny without talking about it; that being said, they have not dwelled on the story during the top 13 portion of the competition.
To all those who feel the need to post hateful lies: Check your heart, because you’re clearly in a dark place. The fact that you can so easily throw around the word “hate” should be a clear warning sign.

I dont care how many glasses he has. I dont care that he is a young widower,although I find that unfortunate. After last nights performance he is a freak.. He screamed and holwed and actually thought he was good,what a complete moron,even if he did win the best he could hope for would be a spot on the TBN network(trinity broadcast network) I admit we dont really get to know these idols during the 5 minutes we see every week. Danny has 38 pairs of glasses. There was an article on Yahoo about a week ago. I don’t have time to search for it but it should be pretty easy. If you ask me, It doesn’t match with a image of a grieving widower he is trying to portray.

Why do you hate Danny? I am pretty darn sure most of you people haven’t even met him. That’s kind of dumb, hating on someone you’ve never spoken a word to. Seriously? If you don’t like him, don’t vote for him, download his songs, or do anything to support him. But don’t say things like “only huge losers like him”. Because what does that say about you as a person?

I totally agree with everything Anonymous states. Without knowing someone, how can you hate. This is why this world is the way it is. I truly feel that American Idol came at a time in this young man’s life when he needed something to give him focus and help him through his tragedy. Unless you walk in someone else’s shoes, etc., etc. He, as well as all of the idols, are talented in their own style otherwise they would never have been chosen for a “reality show.” There is a place for all of them, and I will definitely, proudly, and loudly proclaim Danny Gokey my American Idol. I plan on buying any and all of this CD’s, and I wish him the best of luck in raising money for underprivileged children in his wife’s name. Let’s help him in this endeavor instead of putting him down because of his attempts. As GOKEYFAN4EVA has stated #DannyGokeyislove and #dannyisthebest.
Now, if we want to hate the way the show American Idol is run, that is a different story. Why is it that the judges began by backing Danny and then did a 180 degree turn and began supporting Adam? I truly feel that there was pressure from the producers. They saw Adam as different and unique and told them to start backing him. I feel bad for Adam, but I feel it backfired when Kris won. Danny fans were angry and began backing Kris. Me, I stopped voting. I also stopped watching Survivor when I felt it was being “rigged.” I don’t like being made to feel stupid and the only way to stop this is by boycotting AI. Unfortunately, the demographics are young girls and unless their moms and dads stop letting them watch, the point will never be made. I enjoy the talent, but I think the voting needs to be changed. One vote per household holds the same weight as 1,000. Let’s pressure AI into changing the way it is run.
